June,
We send you our condolences, love and any support we can give to you. Skip was always full of life and up for anything. I think in the almost 25 years we knew him (and you) we experienced life in ways that only the four of us know. He will always have a special place in my heart. I don’t think he had a mean bone in his body. He put up one hell of a fight and you were there for him every step of the way. When he was ready to come home you brought him home so he could be right where he wanted to be, Home with you. Finally at peace. May you find peace as well in the days and months that follow.

Dear June, family and friends of Skip,
On behalf of the United States Submarine Veterans, we offer our sincere condolences at Skip´s passing. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We are always saddened whenever a fellow "Bubblehead" departs on Eternal Patrol. He served with honor on the USS James Madison SSBN-627.
To our "Brother-of-the-Phin" we say, "Sailor, rest your oar. We have the watch. Fair Winds and Following Seas." Thank you for your service to our country.
June and family... "may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you." 2 Thessalonians 3:16 (ESV).
Jim Sandman, FTC(SS) Ret,
National Chaplain, USSVI.
