Obituary of William E. Collins

William E. Collins, 92, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Friday, November 15, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Collins was born April 22, 1921 in Chester, Pennsylvania to Emory Lee and Reba Lee (nee Hammond) Collins and moved to this area 55 years ago from Woodlyn, PA. He worked as a master builder for General Development Corporation and was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Army Air Force. Mr. Collins was a charter member of First Baptist Church in Port Charlotte. Mr. Collins is survived by his loving wife, Loretta Sue (nee Postles) Collins of Port Charlotte; daughters, Linda Towles of North Port, FL and Dawn Collins of Port Charlotte; 3 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 11:00AM - 12:00PM on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at First Baptist Church, 459 Gill Street in Punta Gorda. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00PM at the church.
