Obituary of Robert J. Gasper

Robert “Bob” Gasper, 82, of North Port, Florida passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023. Bob was born on July 27, 1941 In Elyria, Ohio. Bob worked for Fisher Guide in Elyria before moving to Franklin, Tennessee when General Motors opened the new Saturn Plant in Spring Hill, Tennessee. He was on the design team, one of 99 on start-up. He retired to Florida 25 years ago. Bob belonged to the Harbor Corvette Club and the Peace River Car Club. Once of his favorite hobbies was being Brian’s Crew Chief at his drag racing events. He was an avid golfer and car collector. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree and Knight of the Year from 2016-2017. He was predeceased by his parents Anna and Julius Gasper. Bob is survived by his wife, Patricia, of 60 years, son Brian, Linda Ketterman, Brother Ronald (Sandra) Gasper of Spencer, Ohio and nephews Ron and Randy Gasper. Family and friends are invited to a memorial service for Bob at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 211 W. Charlotte Street in Punta Gorda, Florida on Tuesday, November 7th at 11:00 am. Interment will follow the Mass at 9400 Indian Springs Cemetery Road, Punta Gorda, Florida. Please visit him at www.charlottememorialfuneral.com.
