Obituary of Gladys M. Gallagher

Gladys M. Gallagher, 93, of Port Charlotte, FL went Home to be with our Lord on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at her residence. She was born on August 8, 1930 in Scranton, PA to the late Albert and Elma (nee Goodfield) Ancherani and moved to Port Charlotte 19 years ago from there and was of Catholic faith. Gladys was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School in Scranton. Gladys was all about family and had a love for them like no other! Some of her favorite moments were when she was loving on her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandson. Gladys always had an infectious smile on and loved to make everyone laugh. She never skipped a beat and always had a punch line and laughter that filled the room. She was the glue that held her family together and will be truly missed by all of those who knew and loved her. Gladys is survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Judith Robinson of Port Charlotte and loving son, Michael (Barbara) Robinson of Port Charlotte, and former daughter-in-law, Jacquelyn (Jose) Davis of Shawnee, KS; granddaughters, Maury (Mark) Schelm of Port Charlotte and Krystle (Tony) Earnest of Punta Gorda; great-grandchildren, Mark (Emilee) Schelm of Port Charlotte, Chloe Robinson of Port Charlotte, Alyssa Earnest of Punta Gorda, Dakota Hines of North Port, and Kaitlyn Earnest, of Punta Gorda; and great-great-grandson, Micah Schelm of Port Charlotte; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Gallagher, and grandson, Michael Robinson Jr. Calling hours will be Monday, September 25, 2023 from 9:30-10:00AM in the Paul Schelm Chapel at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home, 9400 Indian Springs Road in Punta Gorda. A funeral service will be held at 10:00AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Charlotte Memorial Gardens in Punta Gorda.
