Obituary of Jean Waegenaere

Trudy “Jean” Waegenaere 85, a long time resident of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away in Port Charlotte, Florida on July 18, 2023. Jean was born January 1, 1938, Detroit Michigan to Richard and Eleanor (Kruschel) Burdell. Jean graduated from Denby High School in Detroit Michigan in 1956. Jean married the love of her life Donald Waegenaere on September 8, 1956. Don and Jean were married 58 years before Don’s passing on April 10, 2014. They lived their lives as one. She loved a good card game, whether it was playing Euchre or Uno. She also found joy tending to her flowers and the company of her dog, Teddy. She is survived by her daughter Lorrie Delmotte and her husband Mark Delmotte; son Ronald Waegenaere and his wife Donna Waegenaere; son Daniel Waegenaere and wife Mary Waegenaere. Jean was also a grandmother to 7 grandchildren: Sarah Kugel, Tia Delmotte, Brooke Goldstein, Daniel Jr. Waegenare, Neil Waegenare, Jill Karalus and Jennifer Waegenare, along with 15 great-grandchildren.
