Obituary of Pauline E Lones

Pauline E. Lones, 86, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away on July 25, 2023. She was born on January 24, 1937, in Nashua, New Hampshire, to the late Armand Fortier and Simone Roussel. Pauline was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Richard P. Lones. In her free time, Pauline enjoyed playing cards. It was a source of great pleasure for her to play games of Skip-Bo with her children and grandchildren. After moving to Florida, she discovered the game of bocci, which quickly became one of her favorite pastimes. She had a beautiful voice, and loved to sing and dance. Throughout her life, she enjoyed baking and cooking. She found joy in these activities and shared them with her loved ones. Pauline is survived by her loving children, Donald Lones; Donna Goodell; Diane Peck and her husband Terry; Dana Lones; Daren Lones and his wife Becky; and Darlene Carter. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Joshua Peck; Michael Lones; Tyler Goodell; Wyatt Peck; Anna Goodell; Matthew White; Jonathan Carter; Joseph Carter; Mitchell White; Aiyana Lones; and her great-granddaughter, Paisley Carter. Pauline also leaves behind her sisters, Priscilla Brodeur; Jacqueline Kendall; and Shirley Stickney; her cherished friends, Meri Landry and her husband Phil, and her life partner, Dean Cummings and their faithful dog, Ginger. Pauline’s faith was strong and a very important part of her life. She was a member of the St. Charles Borromeo Parish. Visitation will take place at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home on Friday, August 4, at 9 a.m. followed by an 11 a.m. mass of Christian burial at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Port Charlotte. The Rite of Committal will follow at Charlotte Memorial Cemetery in Punta Gorda. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Tidewell Hospice in honor of Pauline's memory.
