Obituary of Anthony August Riola

Anthony “Tony” August Riola, 44, suddenly passed away on July 12, 2023, in Port Charlotte, FL. He was born on March 6, 1979, in Port Charlotte, FL to Gail (Allegretti) Riola and Dominic Riola. Tony graduated from Port Charlotte High School in 1997. He enjoyed working in the automotive industry and most recently started working in the construction industry for a dear friend and bonus brother, Josh Jensen. Tony enjoyed fast cars and spending days boating with his friends. He loved spending time with his family any chance he could. Tony never met a stranger and made many lifelong friends. He was very outgoing and had a contagious laugh that could make anyone smile, even on their worst days. He will be remembered for his loving and compassionate heart and for being a beautiful person, inside and out. He is predeceased by his brother and best friend, Jason Riola, nephew Jay Riola, grandparents Marian Riola, Gus Allegretti and Hazel Allegretti, and uncles Fred Allegretti, Dan Allregretti, and Rich Allregretti. He is survived by his children, the loves of his life, Anthony August Jr. and Leanna Riola, the mother of his children, Brandy Riola, his loving mother and father, Gail Riola and Ken Griffith, half sister Dominique Riola, newly adopted fur baby kitten Pearl, numerous family members, and countless friends that became extended family. A mass with be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 21505 Augusta Avenue, Port Charlotte, FL, 33952 on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at 11:00AM. A graveside service will follow at Charlotte Memorial Cemetery, 9400 Indian Springs Cemetery Road, Punta Gorda, FL 33950, at 12:30PM, with a reception to follow at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home.
