Obituary of William "Bill" Stevens

William “Bill” Edward Stevens, 80, passed away in Port Charlotte, FL on July 11, 2023. He was born on December 1, 1942, in Hazard, KY to Sanford and Elizabeth (Hill) Stevens. He attended Argos High School in Indiana. He married his wife Linda Fish in 1961. Bill worked as a contractor for more than 60 years until retirement in2022. He and Linda relocated to Florida in 2000. Bill enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing and was an avid Tampa Rays baseball fan. He was also a member of Lions Club for many years. He is predeceased by sisters Edna Roberts Ruby Brock and Junita Duff and brothers Jimmy, Donald, Hobart and Harold. Bill is survived by wife of 62 years, Linda Stevens; son Keith and son Craig Stevens and his Wife Kimberley; his granddaughter Kaitlyn Stevens and his 2 great grandsons Mikah and Nico. He is also survived by his brothers Herbert and Sherman and sisters Bonnie Susits and Linda Hale. A graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at Charlotte Memorial Cemetery, 9400 Indian Springs Cemetery, Punta Gorda, FL 33950.
