Obituary of James L Hockenberry

James L. Hockenberry, 83, passed away June 6, 2023 in Orange City Fl. He was born November 30, 1939 in Rimersburg, PA to the late William and Effie Hollerman- Hockenberry. James spent his working life as a carpenter and was employed by Yusk Construction. He also volunteered in the soup kitchen for Homeless Coalition. On January 4, 1964 James married the love of his life, Rae Ann Baum and they were married 55 years until her passing in 2019. Left behind to cherish his memory are; a daughter, Wendy (Hockenberry) Capps, her husband, Paul, a son, Randy Hockenberry and his wife, Kathy, grandchildren; James Capps, Cassandra Capps Jarrett Hockenberry, Anya Hockenberry and Corin Hockenberry. Memorial donations may be made to the Charlotte County Homeless Coalition. Visitation for Mr. Hockenberry will be June 17, 2023 from 12:00pm until 2:00 PM with a funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm all at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home, 9400 Indian Springs Cemetery Road Punta Gorda Fl. Interment will follow in Charlotte Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
