Obituary of Tammie G Head

It is with great sadness that the family of Tammie Gay Head (nee Teach) announce her passing. She passed away unexpectedly in her sleep at home on May 1, 2023. She was 62 years old. Tammie was born on October 27, 1960 in Naples, Florida to parents Samuel N. Teach and Lela Pauline “Polly” Thompson. She is a Florida native and moved to Punta Gorda over 20 years ago. Tammie graduated Lely High School in the class of 1978. She then attended a community college where she received an Associate’s Degree with minor in Music. She met and married her best friend Timothy E. Head of 41 years, on July 21, 1992. Tammie worked in various industries throughout the years, including the service industry, as a music teacher, substitute teacher, small business owner, emergency service director and social service director for Salvation Army of Collier County. In her most recent years, she was enjoying her retirement and spending time with her grandchildren. Tammie hobbies and interests included family, her pets, gardening, cooking, and baking specially decorated birthday cakes. She enjoyed music and was a talented singer, reading her bible, sketching portraits of her family, writing poetry, and spending time with her beautiful grandchildren. Tammie is predeceased by her parents, Samuel Teach and Lela Thompson; brother, William (Bill) Teach; and grandson, Evan. Tammie is survived by her beloved husband Timothy E. Head; children, Natalie (Marc) Montano, Donald R. Polly, and Tessa (Chris) LaPointe; siblings, Richard (Dick) and (Ginger) Teach, Joe and (Cher) Teach, and Sandra Ann (John) Aldworth; 8 grandchildren, Anthony and Nathan Montano, John Polly, Canaan, Evan, Jaiden, Brailey, Paisley; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and extended family and friends.
