Obituary of Maria Francois

Maria Francois of Orlando, Florida, passed away in Orlando on March 8th, 2023 at age 88. She was born on July 26, 1934 in Haiti to Vortoire Fontil and Julien Jean-Baptiste. She left school at an early age to pursue a career as a seamstress. She married Joseph Francois in 1959 and moved to the United States with her husband in 1960. Maria had three children with her love, Joseph Francois and was married for 61 years before his passing in 2021. She retired from Joyva Corp in 1997 and was a member of the BCTGM union. She enjoyed sewing clothing as well as mending her grandchildren ripped garments. Maria is survived by her children, Rosemary Francois, Serge Francois, and Arlene Fulton; and grandchildren, Antonio Julian Nicholls, Timothy C. Fulton III, Joseph E. Fulton, Matthew G. Fulton, Lecha G. Francois, Christopher Francois, Christina Francois and Danielle Francois. There will be a graveside service and burial on Friday, March 17, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Charlotte Memorial Cemetery located at 9400 Indian Springs Cemetery Road, Punta Gorda, Florida 33950.
