Obituary of Alberta Blevins

Alberta H Blevins, 100, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2022, at her home in Port Charlotte. She was born August 13, 1922, in Dunham KY to the late Andrew Jackson Haynes and Evelyn Hollifield- Haynes. Alberta worked for many years at Appalachian Regional Hospital in Whitesburg, Kentucky. She and Ray moved to Port Charlotte, Florida, in 1973. They began attending First Baptist Church and soon became members where Ray became the head usher. Alberta taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and was the secretary-treasurer of the Fidelis Sunday School Class. Survivors include her loving daughter, Brenda Blevins, two grandsons, Greg Bullion and Scot Maynard, granddaughters, Stephanie Maynard and Shona Van Derloop as well as four great-grandchildren, Dylan Bullion, Madison Caudill, Brett Brown, and Hailey Brown. The family will have a funeral service for Alberta at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at 2:00pm with Rev. Toby Sharp officiating. Interment to follow in Charlotte Memorial Cemetery.
