Obituary of Robert Killburn Faulks

Robert K. Faulks, 92, of Port Charlotte Fl, passed away on June 19th while with family. Robert, was predeceased by his loving wife Marjorie, his son Richard and his brother William. He is survived by his sister Marilynn Buck, son Robert (Connie), daughter Janet (Paul), son Joe (Terri) and Calvin (Nancy), son Rick and daughter Debbie (Andy). He also has many adoring grandchildren and great grandchildren. Robert Kilburn Faulks, was born in Plainfield New Jersey where he lived until he retired to Fl in 1990. Bob, as he was called, formed his own orchestra and enjoyed playing dance music. He later went to Aviation school in New York City. Shortly after graduation, he enlisted in the Air Force (1952) and served as a master aviation mechanic. He was a Sergeant First Class. After his discharge he was hired at IBM and spent the next 35 years working as a customer Engineer. Robert was an amazing father who was always calm and collected. Robert enjoyed his family and was a boy scout leader for many years, even after his boys had outgrown the program. Bob loved the water, boats, big band music and he especially loved dancing with his wife Marjorie. Bob drank coffee all day long and loved his ME TV. Bob wrote hundreds of poems that were mostly about love. He had a great sense of humor and his quiet strength will be missed by all who knew him.

Reception/Celebration of Life

Family and friends are invited to stay at the church for refreshments after the service. Following refreshments, those who wish to attend the burial can head over to Charlotte Memorial Cemetery for a 2:30pm burial.
