Obituary of Diann Stokoe

Elizabeth “Diann” Stokoe, 79, a resident of Punta Gorda, FL passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Largo Medical Center in Largo, FL after a long illness. She was born on August 21, 1941 in Chicago IL, the daughter of John Thomas and Virginia Elizabeth (Briggs) Martin. Diann attended Immaculate Academy in Miami, Florida. She met her husband, Robert "Bob" while working at Barfield Instrument Corporation, also in Miami. Diann enjoyed working in different fields throughout her life and worked at Stokoes Custom Framing, their family owned business, for many years until retirement. Bob and Diann enjoyed 48 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, laughter and adorable banter that brought smiles to those around them. They were always side by side, enjoying life together and shared everything with each other - even the same birthday. Diann enjoyed reading and cherished the time she spent with family and friends. Diann never met a stranger and making new friends put a smile on her face. She is survived by her beloved husband, Bob; two sons, Kenneth Maye and Sebastian Koch; three grandchildren, Juliana, Emilia and Konrad; and other loving family and friends. Please join the family for a small Celebration of Diann's Life at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home on Monday, April 19th, starting at 1 pm. Burial in the Charlotte Memorial Cemetery will be private.
