Obituary of Blanche Violet Slattery

Blanche Violet Slattery passed away peacefully at 12:18 a.m. on December 29, 2020 at Port Charlotte Hospice House in Port Charlotte, Florida at the age of 83. She was born on September 10, 1937 in Manchester, NH. She attended Merrimac High School and after graduating she worked at Amoskeg Bank in Manchester, NH. She married the love of her life, Ronald R. Slattery on April 27, 1957. They had two children, Patricia and Steven. They lived in Nashua, NH for 12 years before moving to Alfred, Maine where they purchased a campground named Scott’s Cove Camping Area on Bunganut Lake. They had 24 enjoyable years operating the seasonal business. During the off season they enjoyed travelling the United States by camper and 21 cruises to Alaska, Panama, Italy, and many other countries, including Ireland. They retired in 1995 and resided in Port Charlotte, Florida. She is survived by her husband, Ronald R. Slattery, a daughter, Patricia Edgecomb and son-in-law, Bruce W. Edgecomb, a son, Steven J. Slattery and daughter-in-law, Kellie Sweeney Slattery. In lieu of flowers, Blanche requested that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
