Andreenne Paulemon

Obituary of Andreenne Paulemon

Andreenne Paulemon was born on June 29, 1933 in La Vallee de Jacmel, Haiti and passed away on December 26, 2020 at the age of 87 years old in Port Charlotte, FL. Her parents were Estalie (née Printemps) and Raphael Lauture. She married Guillaume Paulemon on December 28, 1961 in Port au Prince, Haiti. They emigrated to the United States in 1965 and resided in Stamford, CT for the next 30 years. Andreenne worked as an Electrolux machinist for approximately 20 years and ended her career with the Greenwich school system before retiring and moving to Port Charlotte, Florida in 1996. While in Stamford, she was active in the Haitian community and often assisted immigrants with acclimating to their new country. Andreenne was an active parishioner of the Basilica of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church in Stamford. She was a devoted Catholic and daily communicant. She loved tag sales and had an affinity for American donuts and coffee, in addition to Mexican nachos. She loved her birthplace of Haiti and traveled there as often as possible to serve the poor, particularly the orphans in Port au Prince that she affectionately referred to as ‘my children’. After retiring to Florida in 1996, Andreenne became an active parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte where she was a member of the Haitian choir for several years. She was also a Eucharistic Minister and member of the Legion of Mary. Andreenne was predeceased by her son Jean Guillaume; sisters Charlotte and Andrea; and brother, Andrestin. She is survived by her husband Guillaume; daughters Idelle and Marie Carmel; sons Gerald and his wife Denise of Norwalk, CT, Fritz and his wife Nancy of Augusta, GA, and Bert; sister, Andreana Cebert of Stamford Connecticut; 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and numerous in-laws, nephews, nieces, cousins and dear friends. Andreenne will be dearly missed, but she has left us all with wonderful, sweet and at times hilarious memories as well as the reassurance that she will be with us in spirit as we continue on in this life without her. She is at last reunited with her beloved son Jean Guillaume and family and friends who have gone before her.
