Obituary of Dennis H. Friel

Dennis Henry Friel of Placida, FL, formerly of Malden, MA, passed away on 12/24/2019. He was born on 1/16/1955 in Medford, MA to John and Dorothy Friel. He moved to Englewood, FL in 1993 and was a Retired Postal Worker. He also served in the Navy USS YOSEMITE. He loved the Red Sox and enjoyed riding his golf cart! Surviving Family includes wife Carolyn Hebert-Friel, children Kirk Edgett and his fiancé Amanda Trombley, Colleen Harrington, Stacey and Jonathan Childers, and 8 grandchildren, Sean, Ethan, Gabriel, Damon, Kaia, Jacob, Jace, and Jaxon, his sister Ellen and Nick Melchionno, and nephew Fred Wilson. He was predeceased by his brother, Stephen Friel. Service is at the Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Road 72, Sarasota FL 34241 January 17 2020 @ 10:00 am promptly, followed by a celebration of life at the American Leigon @12:00pm 3436 Indian Road, Rotonda West FL 33947.
