Kenneth F. Woods (Ken), of Bourne, MA and Punta Gorda, Fl died peacefully at Tidewell Hospice House on Friday, December 13, 2019 following a long illness. He was surrounded by love. He loved history and visited many landmarks, bringing home treasures to his children and grandchildren, like, pieces of the Berlin Wall. He was a master storyteller, but gained most of his fame as a humorist with his daily observations of people. He was the king of the one liner, often bringing down the house with just a few well placed words. He opened his heart to all, making people feel at ease quickly. His genuine interest in others made people feel welcome, which often made him a favorite among his peers and family. He was known for his diplomacy, often helping mediate and settle disagreements with his commonsense approach. He loved his children, his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Everyone loved “Papa”. Somehow, he made everyone feel important, valued and one of his favorites. Ken leaves his beloved wife, Alice, his loved children Ken (Fabi) Woods, Alison (Bob) Woods Baker, Michael Woods and David (Tamaryn) Woods; he also leaves 15 grandchildren and 3 great grands.
