Anita was one of the nicest people I have ever met. she would give you the shirt off her back (especially if you said you liked it) She will truly be missed. She always had a smile on her face even when not feeling her best

We loved her...our dogs loved her (especially the treats she made for them!). Her strength and spirit will inspire us for a very long time. She and Scott bravely fought this horrible disease and Nigel was forever supportive and here for them. God bless you Anita and please give a hug to Kana for us! We miss her too!

Anita was a dear friend and the glue to our neighborhood. She was a generous kind soul, and one of the best cooks. She shared her delicious molasses cookies with the humans in the neighborhood and made delicious doggy treats for the canine neighbors. She will be missed by all. Love Rich, Nancy and Ollie

I am so sad to hear the nears of Anita's passing. I met her while living in River Creek, Leesburg, VA. She was so fun and welcoming to me as a newcomer. We had many fun nights at the country club with her and Scott. Although I never met you, Nigel, she spoke so highly of you, and I know she was proud to be your mother. Thinking of you Scott and Nigel at this sad time.

Anita.....that word will always bring to mind loving kindness, fun and laughter, a friend to all, a fighter and a proud mother and wife. Words cannot express how sad we all are that we won,t see her drive by in her car with the top down, hair blowing in the wind, smiling and waving. No more giggles in the front yard and chats about her latest bargain find in bealls. No more swapping notes on how our boys are doing on both sides of the pond.
Scott and Nigel we are so very sorry for your loss nothing can bridge that gap but take comfort in the fact that Anita was an amazing lady. She made so many people happy with her stories and thought the world of you both.
Sending you love and hugs at this very sad time.

Anita was funny, kind and thoughtful. In addition to a shared love of yoga, we shared a history of living in neighboring towns in N.E. - I grew up in Andover, MA, so we were able to reminisce about places we both knew. One time, when she mentioned you were going up to Massachusetts, I said, "Bring me something from Mike's in the North End." I was just kidding, but she brought me pizzelles from Mike's. I didn't really think she would!, but that's how she was - thoughtful. And she brought me something every time you went up there after that. Over these past three years, Anita was so brave and positive, which is not to say that she wasn't worried or afraid - sometimes we cried together over what she was going through. But she never seemed down for long, and she didn't let her illness define her. She kept showing up and living fully - full of life how I always think of her. Anita would sit in the studio lobby before class and we had so many conversations in that setting. Now it seems very strange to come in to the studio and not have her be there. She is someone who is, for me, an inspiration and truly unforgettable. Just seeing the photo of her smiling makes me smile.

It's hard to believe someone like Anita is no longer with us. We need people like her in this troubling world of ours. She always had the best outlook on life and treasured the life she had with Scott and Nigel and her dogs that gave her such incredible joy. I will treasure the memories of our time spent together over the years. Peggy Yuse
