Obituary of Louie A. Kolenda

Louie A. Kolenda, 90, of Punta Gorda, Florida died Friday, August 21, 2009 at Tidewell Hospice and Palliative Care in Port Charlotte. Brother Louie was born January 6, 1919 in Caseville, Michigan to Paul Ludwig and Ella Lydia (Matschulat) Kolenda and moved to the Punta Gorda area 37 years ago from Bay City, Michigan. He was a member of Gideons International, Full Gospel Business Men's Association, and Calvary Assembly of God Church in Port Charlotte. Brother Louie is survived by his wife, Betty A. (Jones) Kolenda of Punta Gorda; step-son, Benny (Peggy) Carder of Everett, WA; step-daughter, Brenda Carder of Philadelphia, PA; and brothers, John (Merle) Kolenda of Vancouver, BC, Arnold (Charlotte) Kolenda of Port Charlotte, Norman (Diane) Kolenda of Marlette, MI, Herbert (Erma) Kolenda of Iron River, MI, Robert (Lorraine) Kolenda of Mission, TX, and William (Mary) Kolenda of Springfield, MO. He was preceded in death by his stepson, Randall Carder. Visitation will be Saturday, August 29, 2009 from 10-11:00AM at Calvary Assembly of God Church, 3279 Sherwood Road in Port Charlotte. Funeral Services will follow at the church. Burial will be private at Charlotte Memorial Gardens in Punta Gorda.
