Obituary of Marion Ruth Bumpus MacConnach

Marion Ruth Bumpus MacConnach, 87, of Punta Gorda, Florida passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Tidewell Hospice in Port Charlotte. Mrs. MacConnach was born July 13, 1925 in Buffalo, New York to Frank L. and Martha G. (nee Myrick) Bumpus, Jr. She was a longtime resident of West Seneca, NY and moved to this area 3 years ago from there. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Ebenezer Church of Christ of West Seneca, NY. A special thanks to Rick, Robin and Shelby Opsahl for the outstanding, loving care given over the past 2 1/2 years. Mrs. MacConnach is survived by her son, Michael C. (Kim Marie) Leonard of Punta Gorda, FL; daughter, Judith G. (Trevor) Blank of San Jose, CA; two grandchildren, Lelania Marie (Brian) Blair of Ridgeway, PA and Michael P. Leonard of Buffalo, NY; and one great-grandson, Michael P. Leonard; her niece, Jan Cilip of Tonawanda, NY; and many others whom she welcomed lovingly as family. Graveside services will be held at 1:00PM on Monday, March 11, 2013 at Venice Memorial Gardens in Venice, FL.
