Obituary of Leona M. Ferrell

Leona M. Ferrell, 95, of Port Charlotte, Florida formerly of Sturgis, Michigan, has been called by the Lord on March 2, 2013 in Port Charlotte, FL. She was born to the late William and Martha (nee; Ott) Templin on September 10, 1917 in Sherman Township, Michigan. A graduate from Centerville High School, in 1935, then attended the University of Michigan Satellite, majoring in arithmatic. She married her husband Walter C. Ferrell, Jr. on 1941 and has preceded her in death in 1997. While living in Three Rivers, Michigan she was a member of St. Peters Lutheran, and also enjoyed teaching Sunday School for over twenty years, she was District Manager for Avon for over twenty years, and she was a member of Peace Lutheran Church of Port Charlotte, and an active member of the ladies group and aid. She is survived by her loving son, Thomas L. Ferrell; granddaughters, Sarah and Whitney; sister Vivian Templin Fry; many nieces and nephews, and several friends to all cherish her loving memory. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Peace Lutheran Church, 21500 Gibralter Dr., Pt. Charlotte, FL 33952 in Leona's Memory.
