Obituary of Elma Shirl Dean

Elma Sherlean Dean, "Shirl", 70, of Greenacres, FL passed away February 25, 2013 At JFK Medical Center, Atlantis, FL. She was born to the late William Everett and Mabel (nee; Vinson/Cooper) Maynard on November 27, 1942. She was preceded in death by her parents, step father, Clyde Cooper, and sister, Teresa Davis. Shirl loved life, and all her wonderful family with in it. She was avid bingo, slot machines, and casino player, after enjoying all of that she loved to be at the beach. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 38 years, James Samuel Dean; her five children, Robert Holland and his wife Midnight, Kenneth Holland and his wife Lisa, Craig Holland and his wife Kimmy, James Samuel Dean, II, and Terra Dean Fioritto and her husband Carmin; brothers, Bill Maynard and his wife Sue, and Burt Maynard; sisters, Elsa Dunworth and her husband Donald, Darlene Scarberry, and Bonnie Tatro and her husband Daryll; grandchildren, Ashlie Jones and her husband Casey, Kevin Holland, Kenny Holland, Caity Holland, Sydney Clemons, Madison Fioritto, and Mackenzie Fioritto; great grandchildren, Airianna and Elias Jones. She will be missed by all whom loved and knew her. Funeral Service will be conducted on Friday, March 1, 2013 at 12:00 P.M. at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home, 9400 Indian Springs Cemetery Road, Punta Gorda, FL 33950 with Rev. Sammie Brooks officiating, entombment will follow to Charlotte Memorial Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
