Obituary of Selanda B. Fritz

Selanda B. fritz, 100, of Punta Gorda, FL. died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013 in Punta Gorda. She was born Jan. 29, 1912 in Clinton, Pa. to Harry W. and Bessie Matter. Selenda moved to Punta Gorda in 1967 from Mechanicsburg, Pa. with her husband Ivan. She always enjoyed having that green thumb and enjoyed her gardening and flowers. Selenda is survived by her loving daughter, Kathleen Miele; son-in-law, James of Punta Gorda; brother, Grant Matter; sister, Martha Harvey; daughter-in-law, Linda Fritz; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan in 1988; and her two sons, Dean Ivan Fritz in 1940 and Richard W. Fritz in 2007. The family will receive friends and neighbors from 11 am until the funeral service at noon Monday, Jan. 21, 2013 at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home, 9400 Indian Spring Cemetery Rd., Punta Gorda, FL. Burial will follow at Charlotte Memorial Cemetery.
