Obituary of Barbara M. Joel

Barbara M. Joel, 73, of Lake Suzy, Florida passed away Wednesday October 3, 2012 from a lengthy illness. She was born April 20, 1939 in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of John and Ann Zucha. Barbara worked at Goodyear Bank in Akron, Ohio for many years before retiring and moving to Florida with her family in 1994. Barbara worked in newspaper sales for the Charlotte Sun in Port Charlotte upon her move to Florida until she was unable to work due to her illness. Barbara will be greatly missed by her husband of 40 years, Donald; son, Donald Jr. (Carolyn); and two grandchildren, Christian and Destiny. She was preceded in death by her sister, Georgene Wintrow and parents, Ann and John Zucha. Family will receive friends from 12-2:00PM on Monday, October 8, 2012 at Paul Schelm Funeral Home, 12687 SW County Road 769 (Kings Highway) in Lake Suzy.
