Obituary of Anna Maye Loughman

Anna Maye Stump Loughman, 86, passed away on Monday, September 3, 2012 in Port Charlotte. Anna Maye was born March 14, 1926 in Akron, Ohio to the late Samuel and Zona Stump. She was predeceased in 1994 by her husband of 50 years, Robert H. Loughman and her sister Cathleen V. Stump Grennan. Anna Maye will be missed by her two children, Lee Loughman and his wife Sandy of Apopka, FL and Linda and her husband Peter Nannini of Holliston, MA. Her grandchildren Kristen Loughman, Robert Loughman, Michelle Nannini Beaudin and Michael Nannini; 2 great grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren. Anna Maye leaves her remaining two sisters, Juanita Onile Wilder and her husband Bill and Norma Spiegel and her husband Donn; many nieces and nephews. Anna Maye also leaves her very special friend/companion Francis (Bud) Livezey. Anna Maye, as a young Navy bride resided in Oklahoma and Fort Lauderdale, FL. After the war she and her husband returned to Akron, OH where she had her two children. Her journey continued to many places, Colombia South America, Massachusettes, Northern Ireland, Marysville, Ohio, and in each place she made many lasting friendships. In 1987 she and her husband retired to Pt Charlotte, FL. Anna Maye was an active member and volunteer of many organizations. The Elks #2763, The American Legion Post 110, Auxiliary, a lifetime member of the Eastern Star OES Chapter 9, Marysville, OH. She was also a past member of the Gulf Coast Singles and volunteered many year at the Pt. Charlotte Cultural Center and the Monday and Friday night dances. Anna Maye wa a member of the First Methodist Church of Punta Gorda. At Anna Mayes request there will be no calling hours, her expressions was for a private internment to be held by her family in Hollywood, FL Expressions of sympathy may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice. Friends may visit the Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home memory book and extend their condolences to her family. Arrangements are being entrusted by Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home and Cemetery.
