Obituary of Edward Smith

Edward A. Smith Jr. 77 of Punta Gorda, formerly of Buffalo, New York died suddenly at his home August 29th surrounded by his loving family. "Smitty", a retired Charlotte County foreman in the Public Works Dept. was born June 21, 1935 in Buffalo. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mary and daughters Terry Smith, Danelle McCool, Shelley Smith, Kelly Smith, Gerelyn McKenzie, step-daughter Carol Ann Wandell and a brother James A. Smith. He was pre-deceased by his daughter, Teddi Smith. A celebration of Smitty's life will be held in the Chapel at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, Sept. 6th from 4 - 6 PM. Inurnment will be private at a later date in the Sunrise Mausoleum at Charlotte Memorial Gardens.
