Obituary of Rose Quintana

Rose T. Quintana was born June 18, 1921 in Manhattan, to Sabastiano Russo and Mary Dileo. She had four sisters and two brothers, all of whom predeceased her. Rose attended public school in New York City and later worked for Double Day Publishing Company in Manhattan. She married Raul L. Quintana and moved to Puerto Rice because of his business. After his death in 1980, she moved to Maria Manor in Port Charlotte to be near her brother. Rose had many interests, including music, painting and dancing. She also loved to travel and she and Raul took a trip around the world. She also volunteered for many years at the Charlotte County Cultural Center, working at the front desk. It was there that she met her second husband, Thomas Antonelli. They were active members of the Elks Club and the Italian American Club. For the past nine years, Rose has resided at Sandhill Gardens. She is survived by one daughter, Priscilla Vinsani (Mario Vinsani) of Milan, Italy and several nieces and many good friends and caregivers. She was predeceased by her son, Raul E. Quintana.
