Obituary of Ruby Mae Green

Ruby Green, 94, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012 at her residence. Mrs. Green was born January 26, 1918 in Sylva, North Carolina to Thomas and Bessie Buchanan and moved to this area 30 years ago from Mount Holly, NC. She was a homemaker and love to garden. Mrs. Green was of Baptist faith. Mrs. Green is survived by her sons, Duane Green of Ashville, NC and George Green of Charlotte, NC; daughters, Bobbie (Carl) Kinney of Port Charlotte, Nora Allen of Victoria, VA, and Hope (Frank) Hogland of Fair Play, MO; brother, Adam Buchanan of Sylva, NC; sisters, Jessie Hall of Sylva, NC and Hazel Jones of Franklin, NC; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00PM on Friday, April 27, 2012 at Paul Schelm Funeral Home, 12687 SW County Road 769 in Lake Suzy.
