Barbara A. Marden, 90, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Lexington Manor in Port Charlotte. Mrs. Marden was born August 7, 1921 in Stoughton, Massachusetts to Edgar A. and Carita (nee Williams) Marden and moved to this area 5 years ago from Hadley, MA. She worked as a paralegal for an attorney and was of Protestant faith. Mrs. Marden is survived by her son, James B. (Susan) Marden of Port Charlotte; 3 grandchildren, Jill M (Christopher) Casal of Brooklyn, NY, Jessica M. (Scott) Merrick of Atkinson, NH, and Bradford D. Marden of Portland, ME; and 1 great-grandchild, Isabel J. Casal of Brooklyn, NY. No services will be held at this time.
