Obituary of Dianne Goode

Dianne Seth Goode left this world to join the Lord on December 7, 2016 at the age of 65. She passed at Bayfront Health Port Charlotte after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was a 30 year resident of Punta Gorda, Florida. Dianne was born in California on December 2, 1951 to Ernest Ralph Seth and Sally Ann Shaffner Seth and was the oldest of three children. She had a happy childhood that included family water ski trips, camping and spending time at the family mountain cabin, which she loved, at Big Bear Lake, California. It was in Punta Gorda that Dianne met and married the love of her life, Roger Goode. It is to Roger that the family wants to extend special thanks for not only being a wonderful husband, but for being the sole caregiver to Dianne during her long battle with health issues. He was always there for her. Her love for him was deep and abiding. Dianne enjoyed boating, fishing and her tropical yard tremendously. She loved Roger, life, her home, her family and friends. She also enjoyed raising orchids, having a large collection of "easy to grow" orchids. While in Florida she had a successful career in mall management until her retirement in 2014. Dianne is survived by her husband Roger Goode, her parents Ernest Ralph Seth (Anne) and Sally Shaffner Franklin (Bill) as well as her siblings Ralph Monroe Seth (Barbara) and Julie Seth Leconte (Herve). Dianne had two children, David Henry Dreyer (Jennifer) and Shannon Dreyer Robertson (Ken) who both survive her. She leaves nine lovely grandchildren and seven nieces and nephews. Cremation will be provided by Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home, Cemetery and Crematory. A private remembrance will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please consider a monetary donation or the gift of volunteering to Florida Cancer Specialists in Port Charlotte, Florida.
