Obituary of Michael A. Murphy

Michael A. Murphy, 76, died October 24, 2016 at his home in Arcadia. Michael was born in Washington DC on June 15, 1940 and came to this area in 1975 with his wife of 53 years, Margaret. He had a wonderful career with the United States Postal Service and served proudly in the United States Navy. He was pre-deceased by his parents Walter and Nell and a son, Robert. He is survived by Margaret and three daughters, Mary Delaney (Ethan) of Bradenton, Sharon Heath Khan (Don), Pompano Beach and Lindsey Nicole, Jamestown, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Racing Dog Retirement Project, 1801 Verna Rd., Myakka City, FL. 34251. Services are private.
