Obituary of John W. Jacobsen

John W. Jacobsen Jr. John Jacobsen, pilot, sailor, loving husband and father, 83, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2016. He was born on March 15, 1933, in Rapid City, South Dakota and married Hazel Landis on November 6, 1954. John is survived by his wife, Hazel; daughter, Linda and her husband, John Downey of Malvern, Iowa; son, Mark Jacobsen and his wife, Helen of Omaha, Nebraska; sister, Luella Davenport of Omaha; six grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. Services are scheduled for Monday, July 18, at Lutheran Church of the Cross, 2300 Luther Road, Port Charlotte, at 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Lutheran Church of the Cross.
