Obituary of Reverdy F. Yarnall

Reverdy F. "Rip" Yarnall passed away on the afternoon of Saturday, July 9th, at Doctor's Hospital in Sarasota. Born 1940, in Washington DC, and a veteran of the United States Air Force, he was a long-time resident of Port Charlotte and recently moved to Deep Creek. After a career in broadcasting, he pursued many interests including: photography, computers, cars, community theater and sailing. He was a member of several local clubs focused on digital photography. He is survived by his wife Jean, of Deep Creek; sisters Esther Hatchett, of Port Orange, FL; and Catherine Cant, of Sandpoint, ID; son Paxton, of Bloomingdale, GA; son Timothy, of Amherst, NH; and grandson Rex also of Amherst. Arrangements are being made by Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home, Cemetery and Crematory. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Hof Reunion Association, via the Adjutant at Hof Reunion Association, 232 Greenview Drive, Dover, DE 19901-5748. The association is a charitable organization established by veterans who were stationed in Hof, Germany, alongside the Czech border. A remembrance will be held in the coming weeks.
