Obituary of Allen Jay Jeffers

Allen Jay Jeffers, 50, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2016 in Port Charlotte, FL after a long battle with cancer. Allen is the son of Gary and Marilee Jeffers of Clearfield, Utah. Allen graduated from University of Northern Colorado Lab School in Greeley, CO then attended Gallaudet University in Washington, DC. His career involved working for the Federal Land Bank in Greeley, CO and Great Falls, MT for several years and for several computer companies. Allen lived at home in Greeley, then in 2004 moved with his parents to Clearfield, UT. Allen moved to Port Charlotte, FL in 2009 where he shared a home with Nina Dawson and Scott Stewart, who were basically family to him. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in March 2015. Allen fought the good fight. Mr. Jeffers is survived by his parents and his two sisters: Julie Hemsley of Syracuse, UT and Michelle Jeffers of Clearfield, UT. He is preceded in death by his sister, Kenna Plant.
