June LaRoe posted a condolence

To: my beloved husband, michael.
I know that you were ready to go, but i wasn't ready for you to leave.
I still feel your presence, and wish you were here with me. nothing is the same
without you, if i could have a wish come through, a dream that'd come to pass.
I'd ask to spend a day with you. And pray that it would last.
I'd run to you and hold you close, we'd laugh and smile again when time was up,
I'd hold you close, not wanting it to end. My wish may go un-granted, but it will always
be true...
I'd trade all of my tomorrows, for one yesterday with you.
your loving wife
June Laroe.

My dear Uncle Mike :purple_heart:. He was my fellow "black sheep" of the family. His Rodney Dangerfield impersonation would crack anyone up. I miss him terribly and so does my son. Him telling my mom to leave me alone when I was a kid, to him telling me the same for my kid will always ring in my mind. He also took me on a ride on his canary yellow trike while 4 months pregnant! I love you Uncle Mike and all my memories of you make me smile. Rest in peace.

my first memory of mike was 35 years ago. we were living in Barre, Vermont on hill st. which was as its named "a big hill". and a conversion van had broke down and pulled off into our drive way. the man came to the door and asked my mother if it would be alright if he could do some work to his van. my mother is always nice like that and said of course. well the repairs were not going as planed!!!! lol little did i know at 5 years old that Mr Laroe had taking a fancy with my mother and as they shared one another's company over a couple of dates mom brought him home to meet the kids. at first i was shy and that was do mainly because of his size 250+ is large to a young kid but he got me to come out from behind my mom and he challenge me to an arm wrestling match. which he so obviously lost on purpose. but from that day forward he was a fixture in our household that withstood the test of time. took me about twenty years before i ever called him dad.. i'm glad i did, and sorry i didn't see it sooner. love you dad and farewell on your journey to the after life. your loved and missed. your son keifer.
