Obituary of Joan Ann Mess

Joan A Mess, 79 of Port Charlotte, FL passed away on Friday, May 27, 2016 at Consulate Health Care. She was born on June 22, 1936 to William and Alice (Bonnette) Pangborn in Philadelphia, PA. Joan was an office manager and also worked as a Slitter Operator for FMC in Trainer, PA. Her dream of living in Florida came true over 30 years ago. She loved the beach, boating, tennis, traveling and shopping. Joan was predeceased by her sister, Mary Lake (Pangborn). She is survived by her daughter, Wende Robertson of Wilmington, DE; son, Christopher Rively; grandchildren, Seth Ward of DE and Adam Ketter of Tampa, FL; nieces, Kathleen Hoover of Newark, DE and Sharon Hodgson of Wilmington, DE. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 21505 Augusta Ave., Port Charlotte 33952. Interment will follow at Charlotte Harbor Cemetery, Church Street, Charlotte Harbor 33980.
