Obituary of Alyce Ann Rider

Alyce Ann Rider, 103, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away at MidCoast Senior Health Care, Brunswick Maine, on February 29, 2016. Born on August 27, 1912 in Scranton, Pa, she moved to Rochester N.Y. where she resided for many years before moving to Florida. She held numerous jobs including Assistant Executive Housekeeper at Highland Hospital in Rochester. Alyce loved quilting, arts and crafts, various volunteer work and her affiliation with Eastern Star. She is preceded in death by husband of 68 years, Carl T Rider, brother Ned Wylam, and niece Lynda Wylam. Her survivors include son, Lynn Rider, daughter in law, Nancy Rider, grandchildren Todd Rider and wife, Karen, Cory Mosunic and husband Chris, four great-granddaughters, Julia and Anna Rider, Hartson and Keaton Mosunic, and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on May 18, 2016, 11 a.m. at pilgrim United Church of Christ, 24515 Rampart Blvd. Port Charlotte, Florida. 33980.
