Obituary of William C. Grant

William C. Grant, 73 of Punta Gorda, FL passed away on March 7, 2016 after a long illness. Born on September 16, 1942 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Lewis and Marion (Coffin) Grant, Bill lived in New Jersey with his family prior to relocating to Florida in 1997. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force and enjoyed golfing, boating and fishing in his younger years, but most of all, Bill cherished spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife, Cecelia "Ceil" (Abbamondi) Grant; daughters, Natalie (Steven) Nicholson and Carolyn (Mickey) McGuire; sister, Barbara (Jim) Kee; brother, Edward (Diane) Coffin; grandsons, Austin Wolf and Michael McGuire; nieces, Deborah Kee, Barbara Andrulonis and Kathy Donaldson; and nephew, Jim Kee. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 12, at 11:00 AM, with Military Honors to follow, at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home, 9400 Indian Spring Cemetery Rd., Punta Gorda, FL 33950. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Tidewell Hospice.
