Obituary of Alan Jeffrey McCoach

Alan Jeffrey McCoach passed away on February 7th, 2016, of a sudden heart attack, at the age of 54. Alan was born in Miami, Florida, to Dorothy and Blake McCoach on September 1, 1961. He was a loving father, son, wife, brother, uncle, companion, and friend. A proud Miamian, he was truly the life of the party wherever he went, constantly formulating smiles and laughter to those who had the pleasure to be around him. He was a realist, always speaking his mind, and proudly shared his values and beliefs. He had a compassionate heart of gold, and always put forth the effort to keep in touch with family and old friends, making sure everything was all right with them. Alan served his country proudly in the United States Coast Guard, used his keen intellect in private investigating and process serving, utilized his creative side by hand making signs for popular businesses, delivered necessary goods throughout the country as an over-the-road truck driver, and finally, drove passengers around as a taxicab driver in Port Charlotte before he passed away. Alan's interests consisted of sailing, reading, music, inspiring others, the Miami Hurricanes, humorous films and jokes, and the island life. His constant travels and his love for reading made him worldly and intellectual. Alan lived his life to the fullest, and lived it to match his true desires and dreams. With every step he took, he did it confidently. He was an inspiration and a light, and he will be missed.
