Obituary of William R. Pesti

William (Bill) R Pesti, 81, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Bayfront Health, Port Charlotte after a difficult battle with cancer. Bill was born September 17, 1934 in Owasso, MI to the late Mary Chunko Baum and Frank Pesti, Sr. Bill married his wife Sharon Krueger in 1956. Bill and his family moved to Port Charlotte in 1971 when he purchased his parents business, Mylok Grass Cutters. Bill and his wife Sharon were members of the Florida Flywheelers. They owned the Ag Museum on the Flywheeler grounds in Fort Meade where they were able to share his love of antique tractors with many. Survivors include his wife Sharon Krueger Pesti, daughter Debbie (Ian) Faber of Punta Gorda, FL and son William L. (Missy) Pesti of Port Charlotte, FL; 4 grandchildren, Heather Harrington, Ashley Faber, Sean Faber and William J. Pesti and 1 great granddaughter Anabelle Harrington. Bill's siblings, Frank (Francis) Pesti of Palmetto, FL, Mike Pesti of Sturgis, MI, and Bessie Fenner of Punta Gorda, FL. Cremation has been chosen by the family. A memorial service is planned for Saturday, February 13, 2016, 1:00 pm, at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home, 9400 Indian Spring Cemetery Rd, Punta Gorda. A reception will take place at the Pesti home immediately following the service. Bill will be laid to rest this spring in Burr Oak, Michigan.
