Obituary of Thomas Bilbo Lipe

THOMAS BILBO LIPE, born June 2, 1915 in Pope Mississippi to Thomas Jesse Lipe, Sr. and Hattie Pratt Lipe. He passed away December 5, 2015. Mr. Lipe was retired Chief of Detectives, City of Miami Police Department, Sponsor and Instructor of the Dale Carnegie Courses, Local Realtor and Cattle Rancher for more than 50 years. Tom was active in many Civic and Fraternal Organiztions. He was a member of Rotary, Elks Club, Florida Cattlemen's Association and was a Mason and Shriner. Survived by Son, John Lipe, Daughter-in Law, Pauline, Grandchildren, Linda Lipe Hall (Charlie), Tom Lipe, (Elba), John Lipe, (Lee Ann), Lolly Lipe Sumner (Rhett), Great grandchildren Bryant Hall, (Kristen), Sarah Beth Campbell (Weldon), Devin Lipe, Kolby Lipe, Hayden Lipe, Shea Lipe, Meaghan Lipe, Ashlan Lipe, Rylan Lipe, Will Sumner and Whitfield Sumner. Great Great grandson, Jonah Thomas Hall. A large extended family and many treasured friends. Preceded in death by his wife of 77 years, Lorine Hinson Lipe, son Thomas Frederick Lipe, his parents, two sisters and three brothers. Calling hours will be Wednesday, Dec.9 from 10:00 -11:00 AM at Calvary Baptist Church, 1509 Highway 70 in Arcadia. Service will follow at 11:00.
