Obituary of Marjorie Veronica Gates

Marjorie Veronica Gates, 93, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Monday, September 28, 2015 at Tidewell Hospice in Port Charlotte. Mrs. Gates was born October 3, 1921 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Francis and Vera (nee Collins) O'Connor and moved to Clearwater, FL in 1969 and then to this area in 1989 from Minneapolis. She was a homemaker and a member of San Antonio Catholic Church in Port Charlotte. Mrs. Gates is survived by her son, James D. (Margaret) of Cape Coral, FL; daughters, Patricia A. (Michael) Henry of Tacoma, WA, Jeanne M. (Bill) Graves of Centennial, CO, Mary L. (Ron) Sandhoff of Littleton, CO, and Teresa L. Gates of Port Charlotte; sister, Mary Cahill of Minneapolis, MN; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be offered at 11:00AM on Friday, October 2, 2015 at San Antonio Catholic Church, 24445 Rampart Boulevard in Port Charlotte. Inurnment will be in San Antonio Memorial Gardens.
