Obituary of John Curtis van Voorhis

John Curtis van Voorhis, 68, died at the Donald Jacobson State Veterans Nursing Home in Port Charlotte on Sept. 11, 2015. John was born in Pennsylvania on December 4, 1946. He served his country as a pilot in the US Army for many years and missed flying until the day he died. He married Mila Roopram in 2004 and they enjoyed many wonderful years together. John was a proud member of the NRA and Faith Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed traveling and riding his Harley Davidson. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, Sept. 18 at 11:00 AM at Faith Presbyterian Church of Cape Coral, 4544 Coronado Parkway. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the US Army or the Veterans organization of your choice.
