Obituary of Rosalie Mae Schuckman

Punta Gorda, FL - Rosalie Mae Schuckman, 89, formerly of rural Freelandville, Indiana passed away Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Bayfront Hospital in Punta Gorda. Rosalie was born April 4, 1926, the daughter of Delmond and Gertrude Mae (Simpson) Cole. She was a graduate of Oakland City High School and Vincennes Business College. After college she worked in the office of the Vincennes Stockyards and after her marriage to Edward Schuckman became a full-time homemaker. She was an accomplished seamstress and loved doing counted cross-stitch pictures. She was a former long-time member of Bethel United Church of Christ in Freelandville, Indiana and a current member of the Congregational United Church of Christ in Punta Gorda, Florida. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Edward Schuckman, Daughter Pamela and her husband Joe, son Larry Schuckman, grandchildren, Jason Schuckman, Amy Spears, Michael Tavery and Jenny Tavery, five great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Also her brother James Cole and his wife Kathryn, and sister Marilyn Gladish and her husband Lou. Rosalie will be laid to rest at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home, Cemetery and Crematory, 9400 Indian Springs Cemetery Rd, Punta Gorda, Florida on Friday, September 18, 2015. Visitation at 10:00 a.m. Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. with luncheon to follow at the funeral home.
