Obituary of Violetta C. Tafalla

Violeta C. Tafalla, 65, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Monday, October 3, 2011 at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa. Mrs. Tafalla was born July 1, 1946 in Manila, Philippines to Cornelio and Lourdes (nee Antoine) Coyco and moved to this area 34 years ago from Harrisonburg, Virginia. She worked as a medical technologist for a hospital and was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte. Mrs. Tafalla is survived by her husband, Jerson P. Tafalla of Port Charlotte; son, Pastor Christopher (Susanne) Tafalla of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA; brothers, Edward Coyco of Yorktown, VA, Ireneo Coyco of Las Vegas, NV, and Fernando Coyco of Tustin, CA; sisters, Raquel Medina of Los Angeles, CA, Ester DeGuzman of Napa Valley, CA, Evelyn Picar of Tustin, CA, and Josephine Reich of San Francisco, CA; and grandchildren, Lea Tafalla, Giovanni Tafalla, and Paxton Tafalla. A Memorial Mass will be offered at 1:30PM on Friday, October 7, 2011 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 21505 Augusta Avenue in Port Charlotte.
