Obituary of Mary Maziarz

Mary Maziarz passed away Thursday morning, August 13, 2015. She was born on September 3, 1920 in Northamton England, UK. She became a R.N. and was a nurse in England during WW II when she met her future husband Walter J. Maziarz, who was in the US Army, and stationed in England at the time. After the war, they married and she came to the US, became a US citizen, and resided in Lafayette Hill, PA. She continued her career as a nurse and gave birth to a son. She moved to Florida with her husband 30 years ago, first living in North Port, then, Port Charlotte. She continued to work part time for a few years, then retired. She enjoyed her time in Florida with her husband until he passed away just over 10 years ago. Since then, she has returned to Pennsylvania and Northampton England to visit friends and family. She has also enjoyed spending time with her friends in Port Charlotte. She is survived by her son, Brian W. Maziarz, M.D. of St. Marys, GA. A memorial service will be held Friday, August 28 at 11:00 AM at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home and Cemetery, 9400 Indian Spring Cemetery Rd. in Punta Gorda. Pay respects at www.charlottememorial.com
