Obituary of Ralph Thomas Klingsten

Ralph Thomas Klingsten 61 of Port Charlotte went to heaven to be with his Little Julie on August 9th, 2015. He died peacefully at home after his long 2 year battle with cancer . He was born in Detroit Michigan August 25, 1953. He attended St William Catholic School and then Walled Lake Central where he was Captain of the Wrestling team and State Champion. He married the love of his life in 1972 and moved to Florida. He was a great carpenter and a jack of all trades. He owned his own company- "Sun Brothers Construction". He loved his family more than anything. He Loved boating, fishing and traveling the world with friends. He leaves behind his wife and soul mate, Kathy who he was married to for 43 wonderful years and has known since 6th grade. He also leaves behind two daughters Jamie Warticki (Blair Goodrow ) and Jennifer Pearce (Chris) and Mother Leona Klingsten, who has been the best mother ever. Also, grandchildren Ava, Olivia, Noah, Jackson and Lucas, and God Child Jenna Lyn Riley, who was his special side kick. Sister Carol (Gary) Webb Brothers Michael (Pat) Klingsten and Ronald (Denise) Klingsten Many many nieces and nephews and a host of relatives from the O'Connell side of the family and many special friends that were his family. He is preceded in death by his father Robert Klingsten and youngest daughter, Julie Klingsten, brothers Robert Klingsten, Russell Klingsten, sister-in-law- Becky Klingsten, sister Cheri Klingsten Riley and God son Ronnie Klingsten. In laws Bob and Irene O'Connell who loved him like a son. Family will receive friends Friday, August 14th from 6:00-8:00 PM at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home and Cemetery, 9400 Indian Springs Rd., Punta Gorda, FL 33950 Visitation will continue on Saturday August 15th 1:00-3:00 PM with service at 3:00 PM.
