Obituary of Janet Nash Culp

Janet Nash Culp passed away quietly Friday, July 31, 2015, surrounded by her family. Born in the month of March in an undisclosed year (as she kept her age a secret later in life since she never looked or acted it anyway). Jan was a graduate and cheerleader of Shaker Heights (OH) High School, followed by Endicott Junior College and Syracuse University where she studied studio art. She was known for her boundless energy, abundant creative artistic talent, stylish fashion, and a joie de vivre surpassed by few. Her world of work in Cleveland, Ohio included head of the color design division of the Glidden Paint Company and wallpaper design at the Imperial Wallpaper Company. She and her former husband, Robert Culp, retired to Punta Gorda, Florida where she served her community in various civic roles, owned and ran several of her own businesses (Dimensions Design and The Mole Hole) and was a member of the Isles Yacht Club, Elks Lodge 2606, and the Boca Grande Club. She held a Florida real estate license and most recently worked many years for Clear Channel Radio/iHeart Media where she was at her desk a week ago. She was foremost a talented watercolorist and displayed and sold numerous paintings including beloved pet portraits. Her family and friends will miss her eternally optimistic, positive view of life. Her cup was always "half (or more) full" and bubbling. Janet leaves behind her beloved children; Lynne Nash Seekamp, John Richard "Rick" Seekamp, and Kerry Jo Seekamp; brother, Dr. Clyde Lester Nash, Jr. also of Cleveland Ohio; grandchildren, Brent Nash Seaman, Susanna Katherine Minichiello, and Janet Lee Minichiello, and great-grandchild, Aubree Laura-Jo Seaman.
