Obituary of Ollie E. Rodgers

Ollie E. "Buster" Rodgers, 83, of Arcadia, Florida passed away Saturday, June 13, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Rodgers was born December 8, 1931 in Sumter, South Carolina to Rubin Ollie and Marie Lucille (nee Bateman) Rodgers. He worked as a carpenter in the construction industry and was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the US Navy. Mr. Rodgers was a member of First Baptist Church of Fort Ogden. Mr. Rodgers is survived by his wife Mildred Louise (nee Cope) Rodgers of Arcadia; sons, Ronald (Gail) Rodgers and Johnny (Kelly) Rodgers, all of Fort Myers, FL; daughters, Teresa (William) Head of Fort Myers, FL and Lynett (Brandon) Rodgers-Keith of Arcadia, FL; sister, Christina Mixson of Moncks Corners, SC; 20 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, June 19, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Fort Ogden, 9500 SW Hull Avenue in Fort Ogden.
